My Students

YWCPA is a middle and high school for Title I girls who are low income. Our girls participate in a rigorous College Readiness and S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) program. All core curriculum classes at the school are either Pre-Advanced Placement or Advanced Placement. Also offered are Dual Credit classes which allow high school students to simultaneously earn high school and college credit. All high school students are required to pursue the Distinguished Graduation track which is optional in most HISD schools.

Our girls exhibit academic excellence by performing at a mastery level with STAAR assessments and school benchmarks.

They also are active in the community by committing to complete service hours during each grade level.

My Project

This year our school is excited to open a school-wide incentive store with school swag and supplies. Our store will give all our student scholars the opportunity to earn rewards for various campus achievements throughout the year.

In order for students to receive items out of the school store, students will need to earn Panther Bucks from their teachers.

Students can earn Panther Bucks by exemplifying targeted behaviors, completing predetermined tasks, showing improvement, achieving perfect attendance or honor roll, and more. Any donation would be greatly appreciated as it will help to motivate our girls to go over and beyond while rewarding their efforts during the school year.
