Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a diverse range of students in a less traditional setting than what one imagines for public schools in Texas. My students are online learners who are looking for an educational structure that allows them to work at their own pace, while still receiving the support they need to meet their diverse needs.

My Project

My students are all virtual learners, completing all of their schooling from home. They spend the majority of their day in front of the computer screen complete school work.

It is important that my students find balance between the amount of time they spend working on school work and the amount of quality time they spend with family.

This project is designed to give them some games, including Simon, Bop It!, and conversation starters, that are appropriate for family members of all ages, so that they are able to take a break from work and school to spend some time together. My hope is that by spending some time having fun with family, my students will feed their mental and emotional needs for a healthy state of mind.
