My Project

My 4th and 5th grade students are so excited to start our school garden! The plot has been there for years, but has been left untended. A vegetable garden is just the thing to make good use of the land and to beautify our school. The seed starter and pots will help us get our vegetables ready to be transplanted outdoors, and the shepherds hooks will hold the birdhouses that we built in class.

Growing our own food is a life skill that gratifies the soul as well as the stomach!

Children take such joy out of digging in the dirt, planting and harvesting their products. The excitement and pride of seeing their hard work coming to fruition is truly contagious.
