Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is a special one for our school! Our Title I school community, currently has a significant number of students in temporary housing, double down households, and single family and multigenerational households. More than 50% of students are Black, Latino, and/or Native American, and more than 50% come from low-income. More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households.

Our school goal is to host a family pantry using the requested materials from this project to ensure our students receive basic food staples, hygiene products, and whatever else they need!

This project will provide the hardworking families of our school with a direct access point to essential nonperishable items.

Access to food and other household items is a basic human right. At our school, we are committed to responding to the needs of our community through food distribution and support services. The items in this project will provide an incredible starting point for our family pantry!
