Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students here are usually low-income and often need extra support. I want to help create a better climate and Culture here at Monroe so that students feel excited and happy to come to school instead of having a negative attitude towards education. I will be hosting events such as Earth Day, Autism Awareness, Cinco De mayo, Mother's day and Wellness Wednesdays to boost morale. I also want to help build a garden on campus and have the students help beautify the campus with flowers/succulents and by painting flowers pots and putting it around campus. I'm a big believer about small things making a big difference and hosting events, and beautifying the campus can have an impact on the culture and bring a more positive view on education.
