I need to attend this professional development to expand my abilities to teach and counsel students using best practices for post-pandemic students who are now school-age.

My Project

The professional development I am requesting to attend is a week-long conference filled with sessions led by the experts. I spend countless evenings reading counselor articles and researching ways to improve my teaching skills for small group and social emotional learning. Many of the sessions at this conference will be presented by the educational leaders who are the best in the field for providing students with the best resources. I look forward to learning more about managing my time in guided small groups, classroom lessons, and teaching coping skills. The knowledge I will gain from this professional development will impact the way I encourage, teach, counsel, and lead with an emphasis on my passion to help students grow.

The opportunity to go to this professional development will allow me to learn so much more about the possibilities for behavior and coping skills and what additional supports I can provide to classrooms.

It is so important for my students to enjoy coming to school and feel successful each day. Elementary is the foundation for learning that to helps fosters positive beliefs and attitudes towards learning.
