My Project

I am the school counselor for grades 5th through 8th. I see students with a variety of issues that impact their ability to be present for and make progress with their academics.

Students benefit from receiving items like journals and stress balls to help them cope with and process their feelings, ground them, and focus their attention on coursework.

Their peers benefit from a less disruptive classroom from those who may be struggling.

Having resources available to give out as needed also builds rapport and encourages students to seek help when needed.
