My Project

I’m excited to introduce a new bicycle repair shop! This initiative is part of our Montessori program, designed to teach students critical life skills, promote hands-on learning, and explore the basics of micro-economy. By equipping students with the knowledge and tools to repair bicycles, we’ll provide them with practical problem-solving skills and instill a sense of responsibility and accomplishment.

Why Bicycle Repair?

Bicycles are more than just a means of getting around—they represent freedom, sustainability, and health. By learning to repair and maintain bicycles, students will:

1) Develop basic technical skills and confidence in using tools

2) Feel empowered to solve problems independently

3) Understand the value of alternative transportation which benefits the environment, encourages a healthier lifestyle, and is far more affordable than driving a car.

This project is also about fostering a hands-on approach to learning while promoting the idea that not every trip needs to be by car. By encouraging bike riding, we’re teaching students the importance of exploring eco-friendly transportation options that reduce traffic, emissions, and their carbon footprint.
