My Students

Students enter my classroom each day knowing that they are the future of the world and it is their learning that will make them the leaders of tomorrow.

My classroom is set up with 3D printers and other STEAM tools so that a hands-on, learning experience is incorporated into each class.

By the end of the year, I want my students to be at the forefront of STEM education because junior engineers and scientists will be leading the way for the future.

Each student is unique in their own way, which makes learning that much more special.

My students love learning about the ever-changing world of science and are captured by the fact that every day brings new discoveries in science. The school is a welcoming environment that encourages higher-level learning while supporting the students at every step. The school houses over 1,400 middle school students, who come from different ethnic backgrounds. In order to strengthen their learning experience, I want my students to utilize all the possible resources I can provide for them.

My Project

I am requesting a subscription to Scholastic Science World Magazines to keep up with science news! Keeping engagement up during the pandemic is already hard, but with Scholastic print and digital copies, I am accommodate all my students.

When students are in person, I would love for them to be able to read an actual paper article to lessen screen time.

With my remote students I would love for them to still be kept up to date with science news when they are at home. Having both a print and digital copy is key.

When science news is relevant and engaging, student learning is so much more meaningful. Coming up with relevant and engaging material as an educator is already a challenge, but doing so in a pandemic under stressful circumstances is a whole another challenge. Having these resources would truly benefit the students.
