Scholastic Math

My students need a lamp because our classroom is poorly lit. The exercise balls are for my students who have a difficult time sitting. Snacks motivate my students to work. We also need pencils, dry erase markers, and graph paper.

My Students

We are raising our future generation. We need to instill the desire to learn in ALL students!

Many of my students come from broken homes and have a difficult time excelling in the demanding academic environment I have created.

I am here to show them that learning can be fun, exciting and rewarding. I believe in rewarding positive behavior. It is difficult for my students to learn when they are hungry or tired. Unfortunately, my students are often hungry and tired!

My Project

All materials I have requested will be used everyday in my classroom. Math is a subject that some kids learn to hate. I want to make my Math classroom inviting and fun! I want my students to know that we will have a lot of work to do but it will be worth it! My students will learn to be successful in the Math classroom. They will work together to make and reach common goals. I have requested two exercise balls for students who have a difficult time sitting. I would like a lamp to help light our poorly lit room. We use graph paper frequently when discussing algebraic concepts. My students use whiteboards and dry erase markers to increase participation during the check for understanding phase of the lesson.

My students need so much!

They need food, sleep, and most of all, a safe classroom environment where they can excel academically. My students need to feel the successes that come with learning.
