Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Teaching in a low-income inner-city community for the past 18 years has been an amazing experience. Much of my teaching has been with third grade and above.

This school year will be a whole new experience for me and my students.

It is my first year in Pre- K and for many of the students, it will be their first experience in school. The past year has been hard for all, especially the families of NYC. It is important that these children are provided with a fun, safe learning environment where much of the learning is through play and fun activities.

My Project

This project will introduce the class to Scholastic Magazine with the fun focus of Clifford. Pre-K is the foundation of learning and the students should be exposed to many different types of texts. Having this subscription will enable the class to interact with a magazine along with a digital subscription and everything that comes along with it.

The magazine is highly engaging and the students will not even realize that they are learning and developing a love for reading.

What child does not know and love Clifford?

Getting student's hands on a variety of texts is crucial. Your support is truly needed. Thanks!
