My Students

Our school is a college prep elementary school in a high poverty neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, where 100% of our students receive free and reduced lunch.

Our students are a group of bright and energetic seventh and eighth graders who are passionate about learning and life!

We split our emphasis between academics and social emotional support and our students leave our school and go on to the most prestigious high schools in the area and then on to college!

My Project

Our students are participating in the Scholastic Bowl for the first time ever, and are very excited to help us build our program. These materials will give our students the resources they need to compete with other schools that have many more resources than us. Our students will use the buzzers to practice ringing in their answers with a lockout system and the trivia book and game to expand their general

By competing in the Scholastic Bowl our students will be in a better position to attend the best and most prestigious high schools in our area.

Our students will get a chance to learn about teamwork and healthy competition, while also gaining academic knowledge and skills.

By contributing to this project, you are giving students a chance they would not otherwise have.
