This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious about the world and come to school eager to learn daily. I try to provide them with hands-on learning experiences so they can understand concepts being taught in different academic areas.

Having these hydroponic gardens inside our classroom will allow them to witness the cycle of plants up close.

They will grow flowers, fruits, and vegetables and learn by experimenting with different variables such as heat and seed types. This indoor garden will also allow my students to show responsibility, collaboration, and other important life skills like management, teamwork, and perseverance.

Our goals, besides learning about plants are to gift the flowers we grow and eat the fruit and vegetables we grow. My students will be proud of what they have accomplished and hopefully continue to grow fruits and vegetables for the rest of their lives when they see it is possible.
