This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

By donating to this DonorsChoose project, you will help me give my students a snack on the days they attend after school tutorials, which is typically Monday through Thursday. They deserve it, as they work hard to meet their tutoring needs for their core subjects.

All kids need is for a teacher to show they care, and what better way to do that than to provide them with a small snack to improve focus and learning, especially during after school tutorials!

If my expectation is for them to keep working, then I want to make sure they have something to eat after the school day ends. These snacks will allow me to feed students after school so they may stay focused and keep working.

These snacks will help our students get through their extended school day, after an early lunchtime. Research shows that by meeting basic needs, such as hunger, we allow children the opportunity to become more focused and be successful in their learning. By helping with this project, you are providing a basic need that will be appreciated by each student in our tutorial classes!
