Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic, devoted, creative and devoted learners. They come to school ready for success each day with a burst of excitement.

Our school is a Title 1 school in a high-poverty community.

Majority of the students receive free lunch and many come early for free breakfast. A large majority of the students are in temporary housing.

As a special education teacher, most of my students receive related services such as; speech and language, occupational therapy, physical therapy and counseling. It is my goal to make sure that these students are supported in every way to feel successful in their learning.

My Project

My students come to school every day with a drive in them ready to learn. Most of my students have learning disabilities, however that does not stop them from trying. I want to provide them with the resources it will take to make sure their work gets done at home and a reliable source for parent-teacher communication.

These student planners will provide my students with a resource to make sure their work gets done at home, and will keep them accountable for completing their work.

Students will record all their homework and important information in their planners so no information gets lost. Parents will also have a one place stop to check in on their child and to see if homework is being completed.

These planners will help young students learn how to get and stay organized and they will use this skill for the rest of their educational journey! Please help support our children.
