My Project

Sayre is growing in diversity of student population. However, more could be done to increase appreciation and understanding of those differences. Student Government is planning an event to address this important need.

The purpose of Cultural Day is to celebrate all of the cultures of students from across the school in order for them to feel more comfortable by having their background recognized and celebrated.

It will also allow students to understand, show more interest, and experience details of cultures that are different from their own. The event will also build relationships between students and staff.

Mrs. Pickett William L Sayre High School Grades 9-12

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.

Equity Focus
