Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend a Title I elementary school located in Houston's diverse community of the East End. The majority of my students come from low-income households and some are recent immigrants. They bring a diverse culture to our school.

My students come from families with limited means and are eager to learn no matter the situation.

They love learning and cannot wait to go back to school! They really flourish in a classroom that is full of hands-on and engaging activities that allow them to problem solve and create.

My Project

My district will begin the school year with online classes. Many of my students lack the technology needed to support their learning. Most students were unable to communicate with me during last school year's virtual learning because they did not have microphone-headsets.

With your generous donations, my students will be provided with headsets that allow them the opportunity to not only hear my lessons, but communicate with me in real time.

This will not only enhance their online interactive learning experience, but bridge the educational gap between school and home.
