My Project
With few exceptions, most of the students that desire to join band but don't only make that choice because of a lack of a specific instrument. I have made it my goal to fill those gaps across the past year and a half and now only have one hole to patch.
Saxophones are a backbone for many concert arrangements, taking the weight and pressure away from the Flutes and Trumpets to carry the melody and create an auditory blend that no other instrument can.
Our ensemble has no free Saxophones for new students to use once they join band, so having even a few more to free up space will entice prospect students and possibly convince them to join. This addition would also allow us to have a more filled out jazz ensemble, something many students have also expressed a desire to join.
