Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a talented group of writers that have been chosen from all over the city to be in the creative writing class. They are a diverse and brilliant group that deserve a classroom that can cater to all their needs.

I choose my students on creativity alone, and that means, some of them are struggling readers and even struggling writers.

I want to give all my students a chance to show their talents to their fullest extent. Using animation with the tablets, recording their ideas with the mic, handwriting with the Rocketbooks and being able to shutout outside noises with calming music with the headphones will help students with ADHD, Autism, my ESL student, and my students who need a bit of extra help.

Having a printer in the room will help us be able to immediately print scripts, poems for display and manuscripts. This will help move the classroom projects along much smoother. The PA system will give us a way to perform for our community outside, in our library and anywhere we might be invited. My students love to showcase their work, and these items will allow us to do that seamlessly.
