My Project

This project is for items to set up a "store" within our classroom to create a classroom economy. Students will earn tickets in varying amounts for doing their "job" in class, which include being on time, being a good citizen, and completing tasks. They will then use the strategies learned during our financial literacy unit to decide how to manage their earned tickets. Will they SAVE for a larger item, SPEND on smaller items, DONATE extra tickets to a friend in need, or INVEST them in our imaginary stock market?

These fun items for the SOAR STORE will encourage students to think before spending their tickets and motivate them to save for a larger item---skills that will transfer into real life!

Students love slime, fidgets, sport balls, friendship bracelets, and all the other neat items requested in this project. They will be motivated to earn tickets to "purchase" these items.
