Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a third-year​ teacher and recent graduate of the University of Texas Arlington. I am also an active member of ATPE (Association of Texas Professional Educators) working as a campus representative. I work in the Greater Southwest Houston area for Houston Independent School District.

The majority of my student population is Hispanic and African American.

My school is a Title I school. My goal is to continue our campus garden project to give our students beautify our campus and also bring about a connection within our community.

My Project

The items here are things that will bring a great help for my students. The Chromebook will allow for more technological small group lessons where we can explore our topics in more details. The snacks are just an extra added way to reward my students for the great things they will do this year.

The supplies also help to support my classroom and not place the burden on parents that may or may not have the means to assist in providing our classroom with the basic essentials we may need.

My students will greatly appreciate any all help so that there focus is on their academic success.
