This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Working as a school-based occupational therapist it is my job to foster students’ participation in their school environment. Some of my students have sensory needs creating a barrier for them to perform the meaningful activities (occupations) required for their role as a student.

It is my goal to provide them with materials to address their sensory needs for them to perform meaningful activities (occupations) required for their role as a student and access their education.

With items such as Handwriting Aid Metal Pencil Weights, Stress Balls Set, Color Changing Putty Fidget Toy for Kids Stress Relief and Therapy, Xtra Tough (XT) Sensory Chew Necklace, 6 Pieces Pencil Toppers Set Silicone Pencil Toppers, Chew Necklaces for Sensory Kids, Sensory Chew Necklace by GNAWRISHING, Chewable Pencil Toppers for Sensory Kids, and Super Z Outlet Liquid Motion Bubbler for Sensory Play their oral-motor, tactile, visual, and proprioceptive sensory needs will be met in order to function optimally in their educational environment(s).

My students are so easy to love and I want to do everything possible to provide them with all the tools they need to make their educational environment conducive to their sensory needs.
