My Students

I work in a Title I NYC school. Title I schools are in high need areas. The students at my school face many struggles both inside and outside of the classroom, yet they are resilient and eager to learn. As an Occupational Therapist (OT), I service students with special needs ranging from autism spectrum disorder to ADHD, sensory processing disorder, dysgraphia, and learning disabilities. This project was created to help our students cope with their emotional, physical, motor, and sensory needs by giving them gifts that/'' brighten their day. My goal is to provide students with the resources they need to enhance their participation and independence throughout the school environment by showing them they are cared for and thought of.

My Project

I work in an urban community and resources are often lacking in these communities. The gifts that I have chosen will help brighten up my student's holiday season. Most of the items listed are building toys that will further aid in progressing their creative minds and assist them in problem solving while having fun! Many of my students may not receive any gifts this holiday season and it'll be such an amazing and gratifying feeling to have you (donors) show them how much they are loved and cared for. Please help be bring Santa Claus to town!
