My Students

Each of my students have diverse learning needs and require assistance learning effective coping skills with daily life stressors as well as the trauma of coping with Covid-19.

Many of my students are transitioning from learning remote with minimal social interaction and are returning back to the school building where they will be facing their trauma while adjusting to an unfamiliar environment.

My goal is to make a comfortable space for all of the student feeling anxious and overwhelmed as they transition back to school.

My Project

This project is to help create a safe and calming space for my students to come to when they are feeling anxious, depressed or over stimulated. Many of my students have been home for 18 months and acclimating back into school has been challenging. Since Covid many of my students have anxiety related to Covid. This project will allow them to feel protected while in their safe space.

This project for a stem mop and vacuum will allow my students to work together to create a place they feel calm and safe in these uncertain times.

Over the past few months I have noticed much of the anxiety is related to fears of getting sick. These items give them the power and help them practice ways of coping when this particular trigger occurs.
