This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have patiently waited to use the sandbox that sits in our classroom. We have the box, but not enough sand to fill it. I truly want my students to soon experience the joy of playing with several kinds of sand, using many different types of tools.

Through sand play, children will greatly strengthen their small motor skills, better preparing their fingers for writing.

They will also expand their creativity as they build new landscapes. Moreover, they will discover how construction trucks work. Finally, they will ponder why the various types of sand act so differently.
