My Project

It is important to have a sand and water table in a preschool classroom. Water and sand help students with their sensory experiences. Playing in the sand table is a choice for children every day and they all love to go there.

Sand is important for preschoolers because it provides a rich sensory experience that encourages imaginative play, develops fine motor skills through actions like scooping and pouring, and allows children to explore creativity by building structures like sandcastles, all while stimulating their senses through touch and texture

Currently, my students are choosing to go here on a daily basis and of course, in preschool they get messy and sand is falling on the floor and going everywhere. You cannot scoop it up and put it back in the sand table, so we need more sand available when ours is depleted.

The sand table is used every single day and it is one of the most popular centers so we really need extra sand to keep this center going. Thank you
