Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sensory bins are an integral part of occupational therapy treatment sessions. These bins serve many purposes! They can be used for sensory integration including and not limited to tactile input, feeling the various textures in their hands or feet. It can be used for visual motor and visual perceptual skills for scanning to find various items. Sensory bins are also great for fine motor skills and handwriting, including drawing letters in the textures, using scoopers, tongs, and scooper scissors.

We hope to include different textures such as lentils, rice, and beans.

And various topics such as animals, cars, and sea animals.

These bins are an exciting, controlled, way for students to explore!
