This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a Kindergarten to Second grade self-contained ASD teacher, I'm glad to interact with these 11 amazing boys and one girl while trying to improve these amazing little kids' lives. The majority of them are autistic, and some others have developmental delay diagnostic. A modified curriculum tailored to their individual needs is followed in order to target each of them in a way that can really help them. My students experience all kind of communication difficulties, attention span, etc..., interaction with others is particularly hard.

My autistic students come from diverse cultural backgrounds, and all of them share the same low income families precedence.

Every day they come into the classroom and amaze me at what they can learn and achieve.

Honestly, they are facing several challenges daily, but they are always excited to learn a new thing. I am blessed to get to work with such a great group of students and they will be blessed for your help.

My Project

I am looking to provide technology-based learning experiences where my students can move at their own pace. I would incorporate these computers and tablet across all classroom setting. These computers will help facilitate the students to focus on the curriculum based on their accommodations as listed on their IEP (Individual Educational Plan). Having an electronic platform in the classroom allows the students who have never had the opportunity to use this type of technology and give them the additional exposure that they need. These computers will be used during activities such as reading through A-Z learning, small group reading, intervention, and writing and using the computers students with a deficiency with fine and gross motor skills will learn how to write their names by just typing.
