This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This cart is full of things that make the Visual and Media Art class at our school safe. To be frankly honest with donors I have a conundrum because Amazon is not an approved vendor at our school, so some of these supplies I cannot buy out of our school budget, so I am asking for your help to get the last of the supplies needed for my classroom.

As a teacher I have spent years researching the safest versions of tools for our students and I am very particular about the tools I provide to the students.The Gleco Traps keep our pipes working in our 100+ year old school and assure us that no paint or clay go down the pipes.

The embroidery needles are sharp enough to pierce fabric but not too sharp to hurt oneself. The canary knives are also great for cutting cardboard but cannot pierce your skin, and are much safer than an Exacto knife. Other items are some things that I couldn't find anywhere else.

This is a Career Technical Class where students prepare art portfolios for their next stage in life, and experience different careers in the studio and media art section.
