Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with high needs students in the Bronx. This is a second grade inclusion class full of students with disabilities as well as a large number of English Language Learners.

The world has changed drastically since I left my classroom in March.

My students will be learning in a way that will be new for them and myself. We need to focus on health and safety more than ever before. My students will need their own set of supplies to ensure that they stay safe while in my classroom. These young and ambitious children deserve the best that we can offer. However, I work in a Title 1 school. Please help me make sure these young, eager to learn children, are given a safe learning environment this school year.

My Project

Health and safety are extremely important in the classroom this year, more than ever before. Students will be unable to share supplies so they will need an individual set of everything.

Individual supples will ensure that students are kept safe in these trying times.

Each student will receive their own pencil case to organize their individual supplies. The pencil cases will be clearly labeled to avoid any confusion and to keep things sanitary. The supplies I am asking for, are everyday use materials. If we have to go back to remote teaching, these materials will be sent home with each student to support their at home learning.
