My Students

My students thirst for knowledge and wisdom, but often lack the resources to quench their thirst.

We are a business-themed public high school, located in the heart of Queens, NY, the most culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhood in the world.

The children who enter my classroom, come from all over NYC. As such, they carry with them a wealth of knowledge that contributes to a dynamic classroom. However, many of my students also come from economically disadvantaged homes. Therefore, many times, resources and some basic supplies, and equipment for extracurricular activities and team sports, are scarce.

My Project

Safety first, right? I coach my high school's Girls Rugby Team, which is comprised of the most amazing young ladies you will ever meet. They are sweet, kind, and gentle, but on the field, they mean business!

The girls' rugby season is just a month away, and my team needs safety gear to help keep their teeth, shins, and hair safe from damage, in this full contact sport.

The supplies will be used during practice, games, and tournaments.

During the day, I nurture my students' minds. After school, however, it's time to play! In order to do so, we need your help. Please help me get this season started successfully.
