Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

TheChavez HS students are hard-working students whose families care a lot about their success. They come from low socio-economic backgrounds, with almost every student qualifying for free or reduced lunch. Over 90 percent are Hispanic, and many of them will be the first person in their family to graduate from college.

I want to give our students the resources they need to keep them learning.

Let us think of IB and STEM education as the means of developing our greatest abilities because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation.

My Project

My IB Language students' safety is my number one concern. With everything happening in the world, it is unsure when we will return to school. The fact is, we will return, and when we do I want to make sure my students are protected. This air purifier will help to clean the air in my classroom and remove 99.9% of particles in the air, making my classroom safer for my students.

My job is to keep them safe while learning.

With this UV light lamp I will be able to better keep them safe along with social distancing. This purifier will run during school
