My Project

Our school is an academically successful, rural high school that is filled to the brim with about 900 wonderful students. We serve our military community as well, pulling in students whose parents work at the USMC and Naval facilities at either Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point, Bogue Air Field, or the two Coast Guard stations. In the state's ranking system, our high-performing high school has been ranked as a top ten public high school in NC for many consecutive years. We have also won accolades in athletics and the arts programs.

We are proud of our success in the classroom and outside of it as well.

This STEM project will provide much-needed safety glasses for my students when we have labs and activities. There is one particular lab that my students perform in Earth and Environmental Science where we use acids in a pipette. Safety glasses would make this activity so much well, safer! This project will also provide some yummy cookies and our favorite, Chez-its! My students are always hungry and food is a great motivator.
