My Students

I have the privilege of working as my school's Science/STEM teacher. I teach all students from grades K through 5th grade. The majority of these students come from low-income households and the only place that they are being exposed to these types of Science/STEM projects and experiments is in school.

My students walk into my classroom for the day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.

I am my school's STEM teacher. Students come to me for about 45-50 minutes a day (maybe once or twice a week). I absolutely love seeing my students' faces light up when they walk into the room - thrilled and eager to learn/explore. They know they have a safe environment to explore and try new things.

I love when students stop me in the hallway to ask, "What are we doing next class?" or "I came up with another way to do that experiment." or "I showed my mom how we did our experiment at home!" or when they bring in their own designs that they made at home. They are beaming with pride and it makes me so proud!

My Project

Everyone wants to come to school knowing that their tablets and laptops will be safely locked and charged where they left them. Students work hard in their STEM/Science class and they deserve to have a safe place to secure tablets in order to continue their work when they get to class. This charging station would allow our class to charge 24 tablets or laptops at once with 24 built in electrical outlets & has ventilated sides to prevent any of them from overheating. It also has 4 casters with wheel locking mechanism & a side handle allowing for easy transport from one of my classrooms to the other classroom.
