Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my class, we are creating stain glass windows with black cardstock and multiple colored tissue paper. My students are going to be designing different designs that are geometric.

They will have the choice between symmetrical and asymmetrical compositions.

The students are going to use rulers to measure the thickness of the "lead" parts and use special ceramic blades that are much more finger safe, but will cut the shapes out of the black paper.

Once the design is laid out, students will cut out the shapes, trace the shapes out of tissue paper, and leave a .25 inch border to allow for gluing.
