Safe Space in the Library

Help me give my students a cozy place in our library to get lost in a good book. This space would be dedicated to a long time volunteer of our school and library, Grandma Linda.

My Project

I would like to make a cozy, safe place in our library for students to use when needed. Whether it is to cuddle up with a good book or to take some time to relax and take some deep breaths, this could be the place for it.

For longer than a decade our school had a very special volunteer that did everything from making copies for teachers to running fundraisers all on her own.

We called her Grandma Linda. She started volunteering as a grandma and even when her grandchildren had all grown up she still showed up year after year, so the name stuck. She donated countless books to our library and supported our school in so many ways.

Sadly, we lost Grandma Linda this last summer. We would like to dedicate this Safe Space to her in our library. In the memory of Grandma Linda many more Tyson students will be able to find comfort and joy in our new Safe Space in the library.
