Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project requests a beanbag couch and ottoman for the school social work office. Our middle school has 1200 students and it's so important to have a space that feels safe, comfortable, calm, and welcoming for students. We serve students with mental health needs, students in crisis, and students who have experienced significant trauma. Students will also come to our office to engage in individual and group sessions.

Meeting the students' social and emotional needs and addressing mental health concerns will help them to be in a better space to learn at school.
