Safe Space for Special Education Students!

Help me give my students a safe space! I am a 5th grade inclusion teacher and my students use my room as a safe space. This rug will make my room comforting and allow students to move around.

My Project

I have a couch in my room and I am hoping to use this rug to create a homey feel in my room. With inclusion students, many of them love to move around. The rug will be a place for them to sit and not have to be confined to a desk. Students will be able to work on the floor, use this area as a calm down space, or a play area. Flexible seating allows student to be comfortable working and be more engaged.

Overall, the rug enhances a sense of belonging and participation among all learners, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
