My Students
My students come from diverse backgrounds and are motivated to learn. We are fortunate to have many students that are born leaders and use our school community as their safe haven to learn and grow. These special students strive each day to do their best within our school community!
These students are highly motivated self-starters that just need the tools for success!
Our early elementary school STEM program gives all of our learners the tools necessary to be competitive in the ever-growing and evolving world of technology and the sciences.
My Project
These materials will give my students the opportunity to sit within our meeting area and learn STEM. Students will be comfortable on the Kaplan double lounger while fostering socialization among peers. When students are immersed in learning, while feeling safe and secure, positive mental health experiences occur. Studies have shown that children who feel safe and comfortable within the school community, have higher rates of success. The typical STEM class consisted of a mini-lesson within the meeting area. Currently, there is not enough seating, and students are forced to sit on the floor. This project fixes that issue! Imagine students hanging on a lounger while engineering plans are developed!
