Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fantastic fourth-grade students are a colorful bunch. They come with a plethora abilities, languages, backgrounds, cultures, and incomes. Many of my scholars have spent the past year in school virtually and I taught virtually. There were many reasons why their parents chose to keep them home. This new school year we will return to our brick and mortal classroom. It's time to start school safely! We are a family.

Returning back to school safely is a concern for students, teachers and parents.

Weather we wear face mask or not, I would like each students desk to have a desk shield. Each desk shield keeps our classroom safer. This means that students can stay focused in class without having to worry about airborne contaminants.

Success is my vision for them even during these uncertain times. Protecting them will ease their minds, so that we can feel comfortable and have an amzing school year.

My Project

Creating a warm, safe classroom environment is essential for students' academic, social and emotional well being. When their basic safety needs aren't met, children are at risk for not feeling comfortable at school and may stop show up, or they may remain on edge throughout the day.

Protecting my students with desk shields for school will help maintain safe social distancing.

This is a perfect solution to allow schools to reopen & keep everyone safe & secure. It's important for students, teachers and parents to know that school starts safely.
