Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a public school in southern Florida. After a collaboration between a couple of the grade teachers, we realized the talent in our school that was not being nurtured. Our students have such a need and eagerness to learn but don't always have the supplies. Our school is located square in the middle of a very dense African-American population with many cultures' and backgrounds mixing into our area. I serve my own 4th and 5th-grade math and science classroom with all my strength. We strive to give every child the chance to come learn, explore, and have fun.

My Project

Due to the new norm battling COVID 19, my students will need these items. These materials will help my students maintain a safe return to our classroom. They will be able to come to school knowing that their desks and chairs are clean. Also in case they do no not have money to buy masks, they will know that there will be a mask in class awaiting for them to arrive. These materials are essential to maintain a safe environment in our classroom. We will also be able to maintain ourselves safe from this virus and at the same time, we will allow my students to come back knowing that, as much as possible, everything is okay and that every sanitation measure have been taken care of. The priority is for them to learn and not to worry about getting sick in the process.
