Safe, Fresh Air to Breathe!

Help me give my students clean air to breathe! With the COVID 19 Pandemic still ravaging communities, I want to take proactive steps to make sure my students and I are safe when we return to the building.

My Students

I am honored to teach at one of the finest high schools in the state of Nevada, and to have some of the best students coming from a variety of backgrounds. As a magnet school, all of my students apply to be here and choose our school, often due to the fact that we provide training beyond just English and Arithmetic, the 'core' subjects. We also provide career and technical education to help our students succeed in the future. We have a 100% graduation rate! Far higher than the districts average, because every team member of my school comes together and truly cares about them. Our students know that. But relationships can only go so far.

My Project

Covid-19 is still ravaging our community, but the needs of our students have to come first. We are returning to the buildings in December, and students are coming back in January. All signs say we won't have a vaccine for a couple of months after that.

Everyone knows ventilation is not great in schools, but I want to give my students the cleanest, freshest air possible.

I'm asking for three HEPA air purifiers that will keep the air in my large classroom clean, and my students healthy and feeling safe. Hopefully, when Covid is brought into my classroom, these filters trap it and keep it from the others.
