Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third graders are yearning to return to the classroom. They finished second grade on the computers at home doing distance learning. As for the beginning of third grade my students have only know each other as a face on the classroom screen. My students can not wait to get back to their friends and classroom environment. My students love to learn, while at home they have developed technology tools.

At my school teachers , students and the community are very excited to return to our school site.

We have been reassured that we have many protocols in place to return safely. For example our classrooms has been rearranged to follow social distancing guidelines and we as a community agree with the thoughtful and well planned safety protocols our district is putting in place so student can return to the classroom, to their friends and to a safe community.

My Project

COVID-19 is still on the rise in America but our kids can't afford to wait any longer. My school is reopening for in-person learning in less than a month. Everyone is excited to go back to school: teachers, parents and specially students. We are yearning to meet in person and have face to face conversations. We can't wait to talk, play and learn together again but we want to do it safely.

Please help provide air purifiers so that we can follow recommended safety guidelines.

My school community has been working extremely hard to make sure we can provide a safe environment for children, staff and ultimately the whole community. In my 10 years of experience as a teacher and a new parent I keep my students health a priority. I know children thrive when they are in a safe environment.
