My Students

Set the Stage for Success!

I teach an amazing group of inner city children. I have a classroom of mostly BOYS! They are witty and resourceful!

My Project

In this season of social distancing and meticulous cleaning, I desire to replace the traditional carpet and rugs with foam tiles that can easily be cleaned with a damp cloth each day. The tiles are soft in texture and brightly colored welcoming the learner. We normally have community circles, small groups, and Storytime in the carpet area. If you sponsor this project, the students will be able to relax on a soft and safe medium. They will also have a visual clue to show where to sit and in deed social distance.

"Even from six feet apart, you teach with all your heart." Hopefully you will fulfill the desire of my heart and fund this project.
