The student body at our school is amazing and ever-changing. The City of Jackson has been facing some challenges and that ultimately affects the scholars of Jackson Public School District. The scholars of Lanier High School attend a Title 1 school and are from low-income households. Frequently, the school is the sole outlet for students whose families lack resources. Over the past couple of months, the City of Jackson has been experiencing some troubling times with the safety of our water. This has impacted our scholars in many ways, as they are frequently required to bring water from home, or in some cases go without, due to a limited supply at home.
