This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the smartest, most creative transitional kindergarten students on the planet. They are ready to learn and participate in our next learning adventure. Even with Covid-19 restrictions will are interacting and cooperations to make to most of our learning time together.

More than half of our student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch.

Most families work outside the home as essential workers. They are hardworking people trying their best to provide all their children need to be successful in school. Yet, volunteering and providing school supplies can be challenging for working parents. It is a difficult time for our families. Extra money to purchase educational supplies is not available for many families.

Help me to meet the developmental needs of my students while providing a safe socially distanced learning environment. Recreating hands-on learning experiences while adhering to safety guidelines regarding Covid is challenging. Young children need developmentally appropriate manipulatives and materials to support literacy and the development of mathematical reasoning. One set for each child is needed. Sharing is not an option due to Covid-19 Restrictions.

The pandemic has strained school budgets. We, teachers, are struggling to provide for the basic educational needs of our students. Please help.

My Project

We were fortunate to obtain new outdoor play and exercise equipment via a previously funded project. Students need to easier access this equipment during recess and independent play opportunities. Outdoor storage is either inconvenient or exposed to the elements. Students safe and secure storage space that is easy to access and mobile to storage indoors after-hours to protect from elements. We also need to sanitize play equipment daily to ensure the health and safety of our students. The heavy-duty mobile storage cabinet and carts will allow for safe, convenient storage that is easy to clean and access. Carts and cabinets have wheels to make storing outdoor at end of the day easy to manage.
