Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am teaching a class of fifth and sixth graders in a self-contained classroom. All of my students come from an economically disadvantaged background and receive free breakfast and lunch. My students work hard and are eager and excited to learn and grow.

I believe my students deserve to have an amazing, safe, clean and comfortable classroom.

Flexible seating will allow my students to be excited about coming into the classroom each day. Having a choice in where they sit gives them a sense of ownership in the classroom. They will choose the type of seating that suits them best and will be able to switch seats for different subjects.

My Project

I believe my students deserve to have an amazing, safe and comfortable classroom. They spend the majority of their day in the classroom so it needs to be a welcoming environment.

Help me provide my students somewhere that will make it easy to focus and engage.

Let's get them excited to come into the classroom and feel safe and protected! I am requesting Clorox wipes and tissues to keep the room clean. I am also requesting labels and binders to make sure students know which are their own classroom supplies. A swivel desk and stool will also give my students a choice of where to sit.
