Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My children have been affected by Covid-19 in many ways. Some of them got sick during this Covid pandemic and others lost friends and family members. I would like to have my students return to a learning environment which is safe and clean. I have been teaching them remotely since March 2020. I have been able to transport and utilize teaching supplies from my classroom to my living room. The students who log in daily, work on assignments with me and or complete pre-made assignments designed by me. I currently use resources from my classroom but things have changed, I will need different resources to protect them from Covid-19. Many of my students can’t wait to get back in the classroom. We are currently waiting on guidelines established from NYC DOE in order to transition back into the classroom. I am overly concerned about having my students come to a safe and clean environment which I can maintain on an hourly and daily basis. I am in need of daily supplies of sanitizers and masks for my students. I am in need of supplies and materials which today are a necessity in each and every classroom around the world.

My Project

The supplies which I am requesting will help keep my students safe and clean and provided from Covid-19. I am seeking to acquire cleaning supplies and sanitation products for my classroom. I desire to make a positive impact on my students by maintaining a sanitized and safe environment for them to continue live learning in the classroom. When returning to the classroom, I would like to assure that the focus is on education. I do not want my students to worry about soap, hand sanitizer, gloves, masks, and etc. These items will help them have at their hands supplies which will be needed for all classrooms around the world. Because my kids come from low socioeconomic environments it would be an additional burden on the parents to have them supply these items.
