My Project

Learning changes the physical structure of the brain. Peace, safety, and sufficiency allow a space where learning occurs with greater ease. That is my intention for this Liberty City Head Start classroom. These young children have already encountered multiple challenges and it is the goal of the program to give these at-risk youth a fair chance at success.

With school supplies being available in the classroom means that students focus on learning and dreaming big rather than worrying about what they lack.

Most of my student's homes are Public Housing and purchasing school supplies is not always possible. All of these supplies will make our classroom colorful, engaging, and there will be PLENTY of items for students to learn with as they start their educational journey.

Large Pop with Numbers will help with mathematical thinking, reasoning strategy, mental arithmetic, logical thinking and fine motor skills. This new designed item comes with 1-100 numbers that can help teachers to create kinds of math manipulatives, will let children to learn math in fun.

Photo Alphabet Bulletin Board Set will help my students with letter and sound recognition, plus putting words in ABC order.

The Plastic Activity Trays will be for open-ended activities using a variety of mediums including paint, slime, clay, glitter, beading and playdough. As you know, a classroom can never have enough pencils.

Finally, Positive Character Traits Bulletin Board set which will encourages positive behavior in the classroom.
