This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are book-loving, avid readers, and enthusiastic learners. They come from diverse backgrounds and some have limited resources.
I have found that my students love a challenge, despite any obstacle they may face outside of the classroom, they strive to be the best they can every single day.
Each one of my students are very engaged in their own learning daily as well as fully engaged in any group or community work. My students love reading on the floor.
My Project
My students come from diverse backgrounds. They love to read and I want to provide them a classroom library full of diverse books for them to enjoy at school and at home.
Donations to this project will provide my students a variety of books that they can read independently at their own grade level.
My students have expressed an interest in some of these titles that I have chosen and will be excited to see them in our print rich classroom library. The best way to increase students’ reading ability is by reading. I can't wait to see my students grow stronger in reading.
